Hi there,
I am a descendant of James Mannix and Mary Bourke. Their daughter, Margaret Mary MANNIX (born 1847), was my great-great grandmother. She married Patrick KEENAN (born 1841, Co. Westmeath Ireland), and had 9 sons.
I have collected photos of Margaret, Patrick and family over the years, and would be happy to share.

Wonderful to meet you! I'm so glad you found my blog-perhaps you may be able to clear up some of the big mysteries of the Mannix/Bourke family, such as the ship on which James Mannix arrived, and the Irish county in which Mary Bourke was born! :)

Hi, I am also a decent of James Mannix hewas my great great grandfather.I too have had trouble finding out how James came to Australia.I don't have any photos of them or marrage certifate.
