Joseph Bourke, son of John Bourke and Judith Meehan.

Joseph Bourke was born on November 30, 1849, at Kilmore. He was the fifth child and son born to John Bourke and Judith Meehan.
Little Joseph was baptised two months later, on January 28, 1850. The baptismal register of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Kilmore revealed the following information:

“ Joseph Bourke, born November 30, 1849, son of John Bourke and Johanna Meehan. Baptised on January 28, 1850. Sponsors: Patrick Ryan and Mary Ryan. Priest: Father Charles Clarke.”

Nothing else is known about little Joseph Bourke. He obviously didn’t survive childhood as his name appears on his father’s headstone:
“ And also his son, Joseph, and his grand daughter
Mary, who died in infancy.”

Unfortunately, no date of death is given.
